Incentive Programs for 2010
Please Note: All rebate requests for equipment purchased in 2009, must be submitted to the REMC by February 15, 2010.
Rebates - Heating and Cooling
(Click here to view/print the Rebate Form)
South Central Indiana REMC’s rebate program is designed to encourage members
to purchase energy efficient equipment. The rebates are based on the Seasonal
Energy Efficiency Rating (S.E.E.R.). The higher the S.E.E.R. the more efficient
the equipment resulting in lowering operating costs.

Rebates - Special Offer for Electric Furnace Replacements
(Click here to view/print the Rebate Form)
Electric furnaces are very expensive to operate and often times result in high bill

Electric Water Heater Program - New Construction or Gas Replacement
Members building a new home or replacing a gas water heater will
be eligible for a “free” 50 gallon Rheem energy efficient water
heater if they sign a form that allows the REMC to install a load
management switch on the water heater. We anticipate that switches
would be installed beginning in the fall of 2009 or spring of 2010.
The REMC would be responsible for the cost of the load management
switch and installation cost.

Members building a new home or replacing a gas water heater may
choose to upgrade to an 80 gallon Rheem water heater. The cost to upgrade
would be $150.00. The requirements for the load management switch would
be the same as above.
