Eligibility

To be eligible for the metered propane program, you must be a South Central Indiana REMC member and in good credit standing on your electric account or through our on-line credit reporting system.

SCI Propane, LLC requirements include retaining the propane account in the name of the property owner(s). Rental properties are allowed only if the landlord is approved through the application process. At all times, accounts for rental properties will be maintained and mailed to the landlord, who is responsible for any charges their tenants may incur. There are no exceptions to this provision.

There is a minimum usage of 550 gallons annually. There is a 20¢ per gallon penalty for the difference of any gallon under 550 minimum. i.e. The customer uses 450 gallons instead of 550 gallons = 100 gallons (difference) x 20¢ per gallon = $20 penalty charge. In the event of a mild winter or other contributing factor, the penalty charge may be waived.
