Propane Budget Billing Program

SCI Propane is pleased to offer a Budget Billing option to qualified propane customers.

Participation in the Budget Billing Program is voluntary and enables the customer to pay an equal amount for propane service each month.

Budget amounts are calculated based on a customer’s average usage amounts over the previous July-June 12-month period. For new customers joining the program between July 1 and August 15 with no usage history, the budget will be calculated on an average usage of 750 gallons the first year, then recalculated the following June based on actual usage. This will ensure any new service tank set fees, along with any usage, is covered by the budget amount.

Requests for the Budget Billing Program will be accepted July 1 through August 15 only. All budgets must begin no later than the September cycle bill. Any requests for budget billing received after August 15,each year, will be deferred to the next enrollment period, beginning July 1, of the following year.

In order to qualify for this plan, a customer must meet the following requirements:

• Request for participation must be in writing (see enclosed application). Sorry, no phone calls will be accepted.
• Propane account must have a zero balance when application is received.
• Bills must be paid on time to remain on the program.
• If an account becomes delinquent (30+ days late), collection procedures will be implemented and account will be removed from budget billing.
• Any customer removed from the budget billing program for non-payment must wait until the next enrollment period before re-applying and are subject to credit approval.
• SCI Propane reserves the right to approve or decline any application.

Budget bill accounts will be reviewed and re-calculated on June 30th of each year. If a debit balance exists at the time of the true-up, it must be paid in full. If there is a credit balance, the credit amount will be applied to the customer’s bill.
