What is the meter upgrade?

Just as mobile phones, laptops and tablets continue to evolve as helpful tools, this meter upgrade is the next step forward from the traditional electric meter. The new digital meters record energy use and securely send information to SCI REMC using two-way communication. This helps us respond to outages more efficiently and provide better service.
