Voice service is not available in the SCI/Smithville partnership area at this time. Unlimited lines are subject to an acceptable use policy of 2,000 minutes of long-distance per line. Overages are billed at a rate of $0.05 per minute. Consider purchasing a home battery backup system to ensure continuous access to 911 during outages. Your 911 service may also be affected by issues such as fiber connection failure, network congestion, equipment malfunctions, or maintenance activities on the SCI Fiber network. These circumstances could prevent you from placing or receiving calls, including emergency 911 services.
FAQ for Changing or Canceling Service with SCI Fiber

There is no need to cancel if you’re out of town for 1-4 months. You can call and place your services in an extended vacation plan instead and pay a reduced monthly rate. If you cancel while you are under contract, you will be charged an early termination fee. The early termination fee is prorated, meaning that you will pay less as more time passes to terminate your service. Click here to read our SCI Fiber Terms and Conditions of Service.
All equipment (ONT/Router, cords, and extenders) must be returned to the SCI REMC office (300 Morton Avenue, Martinsville, IN 46151) within 10 days of disconnecting your service to avoid equipment charges.
Once processed by SCI Fiber, credit balances can take up to 30 days to be received. Fiber credits will offset any balance owed on your electric account before they are refunded. If a saved bank account or credit card is linked, the credit balance can be refunded to the saved account.
You will receive your final bill on your regular billing date.
