What would be your priority or goal if elected on SCI REMC’s Board of Directors?
It is imperative to further increase access to high-speed internet for members who currently lack this option. The internet could reduce doctor office visits or decrease costs with access to Telehealth, provide work from home options, and educational opportunities. Additionally, maintaining high reliability of electric service and monitoring electric costs are essential priorities.
What role should SCI REMC play in supporting the communities we serve beyond providing electric and internet service?
It is essential to attentively listen to the needs and concerns expressed in personal or business conversations and assess whether SCI can provide assistance. SCI can be a partner to support local organizations in their mission and focus and be a bridge between rural and state networks.
How would you stay connected to the concerns and ideas of the members you represent throughout your term?
Being very involved in the communities, I have regular conversations with members about various topics and if a need is mentioned involving SCI REMC I can refer the member to the necessary department.
