Mark Smith of Mooresville is the incumbent director for District 1 and has been an SCI REMC member for 28 years. He has served on the board of directors since 2005. He is currently the president and CEO of Five Talents Wealth Management LLC and has over 40 years of experience in the financial industry. He graduated from the University of Indianapolis in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in business administration and economics. He has also earned an associate’s degree in computer technology. He has been married to his wife for 40 years with three children and 9 grandchildren.
With SCI REMC, Mark is currently the Chairman of the Finance Committee on the Budget and Work Plan Committee and the Legislative Committee. In the community, he has led two major capital campaigns to raise funds for two churches in the area, has coached numerous sports teams in Mooresville, and has led several men’s bible studies. He currently volunteers for Emanuel Church Greenwood Campus on the Impact Committee and leads a small group along with his wife. He is also a long-term supporter of the Boys and Girls Club.
