This scholarship program, established in May 2005, was named for a former South Central Indiana REMC Operation RoundUp trustee who had a special interest in the arts, athletics, parks, and recreation. This scholarship encourages graduating high school seniors to further their education. Funded entirely by voluntary contributions from our members, this scholarship program will provide up to 5 $1,000 scholarships for 2-year vocational schools or 4-year colleges and universities.
This program is open to students who live in an SCI REMC membership household that participates in the Operation RoundUp program and reside in Brown, Clay, Johnson, Monroe, Morgan, Owen, or Putnam counties. If you’re not sure if you participate in Operation RoundUp or would like to enroll, call us at (800) 264-7362.
Applicants must also meet the criteria established by the Operation RoundUp trustees. Recipients are selected based on academic achievement, school involvement, community activities, work experience, and their submitted essays.
The deadline for the 2026 scholarship submissions has passed. Recipients will be notified if they receive one of the scholarships. If you have any questions, please contact Stacey Sauer at staceys@sciremc.com.
