Air Source or Dual Fuel Heat Pumps

Heat pumps can mean substantial savings for energy-wise consumers. If you’re considering replacing your existing fossil fuel system, replacing a non-air source heat pump, other resistant electric systems, or planning to build a new home.

Minimum Efficiency Requirements

  • Must be installed in a home served by SCI REMC.
  • Heat pumps are for whole-home installations.
  • SEER2 ratings must be obtained from the AHRI certificate.
  • An AHRI Certificate must accompany the application and invoice to be qualified. You can obtain the AHRI certificate from your contractor or from the manufacturer.

Tier 1 – Up to $300

  • SEER2 rating 14.3 – 15.3
  • HSPF2 rating ≥ 7.6

Tier 2 – Up to $400

  • SEER2 rating 15.4 – 17.2
  • HSPF2 rating ≥ 7.6

Tier 3 – Up to $500

  • SEER2 rating 17.3 & up
  • HSPF2 rating ≥ 7.6

 

To receive a rebate, all homeowners MUST provide a completed rebate application, proof of purchase/invoice, and photos before and after installation.

The application must be received by South Central Indiana REMC by December 15, 2024, installed in 2024 and within 90 days of the installation to qualify for the 2024 Rebate Program.
