We promote the planting of low growing tree and bush species that provide a food and shelter source for wildlife. The replacement of trees is offered as an incentive to our members to allow the REMC to remove larger, fast-growing species in and near the right of way that create problems and cause outages. Although we would like to be able to provide replacement trees to all of our members, there is a qualification process that is followed by observing set criteria in order to determine if the property is eligible for tree replacement. It is the final decision of Vegetation Management Supervision to establish property eligibility.
